Hall-Irwin began in 1963, when George W. Hall and Hale Irwin, Sr. founded the company to offer construction activities such as excavation, curb, gutter, sidewalk, plumbing and home construction. What started that simply has evolved into a consolidated group of total solutions, providing complete construction and development services to the growing markets along the front range of Colorado and Wyoming.

Press Release - Hall-Irwin Outstanding Reclamation Award
Hall-Irwin Corporation

The State of Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board,(MLRB) honored Hall-Irwin Corporation for their outstanding reclamation of it’s aggregate operations. Hall-Irwin Corporation received an “Honorable Mention” award for its reclamation of mined lands, namely the Herbst gravel pit. The award was presented by Russell George, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Ron Cattany, Director of the Division of Minerals and Geology. The presentation was made on behalf of the MLRB, at the Colorado Rock Products Annual Convention.
In reference to the Herbst gravel pit, Russell George stated during the presentation, “I challenge you to see if you can find a pit in the area in question.” The Herbst Gravel Pit, southeast of Windsor in Weld County, has been reclaimed to encompass several end results as a reclaimed sand and gravel operation. The reclamation allowed for optimization of the property’s full potential from the development, recreation and wildlife viewpoints. On a winter tour of the area, there were breath taking views of open native grass lands, tree lined lakes, as well as many wet land habitats for a variety of water foul. The tour was crowned with a grand view of a Bald Eagle perched high up in a tree guarding it’s nest.
The award was presented to Hall-Irwin Corporation’s Jeff Gregg, Resource Manager of Hall-Irwin’s Aggregate Group. The award, was sponsored by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, in cooperation with the Colorado Rock Products Association honoring outstanding reclamation of aggregate operations.
