The role of Senior Project Manager at Hall Irwin plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while providing leadership and support to the project management team. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the overarching project management functions of Hall Irwin Corp. You will not only manage complex commercial vertical, residential, and land development projects, but also guide and mentor our team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Your responsibilities will encompass safe project execution, strategic project planning, effective budget management, and client relationship cultivation. With a focus on financial acumen, risk mitigation, and attention to detail, you will lead by example, shaping the successful trajectory of our projects and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of Hall Irwin in the Northern Colorado construction industry.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the management of commercial and residential projects up to $50M, throughout the Colorado Front Range

  • Efficiently allocate resources including labor, equipment, and materials to optimize project performance and cost-effectiveness

  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish terms and conditions favorable to Hall Irwin

  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Incorporate lean construction techniques into all aspects of Hall Irwin’s construction approach

  • Lead by example when it comes to a safety mindset and related practices on all construction sites

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase efficiency everywhere possible

  • Develop and assist your team in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation

  • Foster the professional development of project managers within the team, providing mentorship, training, and support

  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including dispute resolution with clients and subcontractors

  • Cultivate relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to enhance the visibility and standing of the company

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project

  • Lead lessons-learned meetings and post-project reviews

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • 10+ years progressive experience in construction project management, particularly within the $10-50M range

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field – an advanced degree in a relevant field can be counted towards years of experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Construction Manager (CM), or similar certifications, are highly desirable

  • Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis, with a focus on maximizing profitability

  • Ability to motivate, manage and mentor the project management team, including other PMs, Project Engineers, and Project Superintendents

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement project plans that align with company goals and objectives

  • Thorough understanding of quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance requirements in the construction industry

  • Able to work within tight, unyielding deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction throughout projects

  • Independently motivated to continuously improve processes and systems to make them as efficient as possible

  • Recent MSHA, OSHA, First Aid, and other construction- and safety-related certifications are highly desirable

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Projects), Bluebeam, and other construction related software

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
